- Jun 24, 2019 LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice are almost identical. The functional differences are very minor; for example, the sidebar in OpenOffice Writer is open by default, whereas in LibreOffice it's closed.

The current Apache OpenOffice supports Apple MacOS X version 10.7 (Lion) - 10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS 10.12 (Sierra) - 10.13 (High Sierra).
Hardware requirements
Sep 04, 2020 LibreOffice, not OpenOffice, often comes preinstalled on Linux systems such as Ubuntu. Cons The spreadsheet application crashes frequently, although that may have been resolved in the lastest update. LibreOffice and OpenOffice will run on older Windows versions, including XP or Vista, and OpenOffice can even run on Windows 2003. In addition, both open-source suites will run on most Mac computers running OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or higher.

Lists the events that can trigger a macro. Only the events that are relevant to the selected object are listed.

Assigned Action
Specify the macro that executes when the selected event occurs.
Frames allow you to link certain events to a function that then decides if the event is handled by LibreOffice Writer or by the function. See the LibreOffice Basic Help for more information.
